Realtors: Turn “For Sale” into “SOLD!”

Real estate marketing has been drastically changed by the internet, but one of the oldest forms of advertising is still one of the best: the real estate yard sign! As an agent, the thing you want most is for someone to spot that sign, slam on the brakes, and call for a viewing.

Independent agents and big real estate companies have one need in common: ADVERTISING.

  1. Get your name out there. If potential clients don’t know you exist, they aren’t going to call you to list their house or help them with a purchase. Vehicle decals are a great place to start… you’re driving around anyways, you might as well use your car as a moving billboard. Bus benches, flyers, and conventional or digital billboards are also a reliable way to introduce yourself to your community.
  2. Yard Signs. You can’t go wrong with tried and true. The signs let everyone know that the house is up for grabs. They’ve got to be bright, easy to read, and have all the information a potential buyer needs to contact you. QR codes are an awesome new addition to the traditional real estate yard sign. Link the QR code to a virtual tour of the property, and make it easy for buyers to fall in love!
  3. Directional Signs. An open house is bound to flop if no one can find the property. Lightweight coroplast signs mounted on step stakes make it easy for you to direct your traffic. Put an a-frame sign on the front lawn of your open house to draw them in. Also, if a listed property is on a cul-de-sac or an out-of-the-way street, directional signs placed on cooperative neighbors’ yards can clear up any confusion.
  4. Sign Add-Ons. If a property has been sold, brag about it! A smaller “sold” sign can be easily hung from the yard sign. This also works great to advertise price reductions or other changes to the listing.
