2013 Resolutions already???

It is the start of December and we are almost ready to start planning for 2013 but we also need to take a look back at last month and 2012.

What do you do in your business to reflect and plan for the next 12 months?

For the last 3 years we have taken part in the 12 month planning seminar run by local business coaches at Business Innovation Group. Its one day where you look at your business and where you want it to be in 12 months then you make a plan to get there.

We have lots of changes and exciting news in the next month here at Speedpro and I can honestly say without these planning sessions and the ones we do every 90 days we would not be even within shooting distance of our goals.

For example last year, one of our goals was to improve our delivery time. Last January we started guaranteeing clients smaller orders. In the last 12 months we have only had to give 2 orders for FREE as we didn’t make that deadline. 2 orders … of approx 500 orders in total. Not only that but we have reduced our delivery times by 35% across the board.

I am looking back at our goals to reduce our delivery times and we have successfully achieved and SMASHED the goal of 15% improvement.

Without taking the time to set the goal and plan the steps to get there would be like asking our team to go bowling with no pins…. How do they know they won?

Well we know we have won. On average our smaller orders are under 6 days from design to completion… Our larger jobs are being completed within the timeline we quote 75% of the time. We are very happy with those results and our team is more focused than ever on improving our turnaround times to get our clients their orders faster.
